The Discover Credit score card requires the customer to provide their name, email address, date of birth, street address, SSN, and student or non student status.  Please note the Credit Scorecard information is based on data from Experian and may differ from credit scores and credit information provided by other credit bureaus.  In order to secure the free credit score the customer must be 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States.  Discover Bank reserves the right to modify or cancel this free credit score promotion at anytime without advanced notice.  The credit scorecard will show highly valued credit score items like missed payments, number of recent inquiries, and total credit available to the customer.  Using the Discover credit scorecard service will not affect a credit score and the three-digit number will summarize the positive and negative information on the customers Experian credit report.  A credit score is used by lenders to quickly assess the applicants credit risk and can affect the customers ability to secure a car loan to mortgage to credit cards (trust us no one wants to go through life with a bad credit score).  The customers Credit Scorecard will be refreshed the later of every 30-days or the next time they access the Credit Scorecard service.
