1:17-cv-00071-LJM-TAB and case number 1:15-cv-0716-LJM. The Johnson TCPA settlement lawsuit is pending out of the District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Indianapolis Division and the deadline to file a claim is listed as 5/26/17. Class members in the case are defined as the following: “a) to whom Navient Solutions Inc. placed one or more telephone calls; (b) directed to a telephone number assigned to a cellular telephone service; (c) by using an automatic telephone dialing system; (d) after Navient Solutions Inc. designated the telephone number to which it placed the call(s) as a wrong number; (e) between May 4, 2011 and January 26, 2017“. Class members claim that Navient violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, 47 U.S.C. § 227 which Navient strongly denies. All claim forms can be mailed to: Johnson v. A settlement fairness hearing will take place on or around July 13, 2017 but class members do not need to attend this bothersome hearing in order to receive a slice of the 17 million dollar settlement pie. Experts close to the class predict class members will receive between $200 to $350.
