NJM Direct Registration
- Register for NJM Direct services operated by the New Jersey Court system
- Once registered offenders can pay New Jersey traffic tickets online
- The service is free to use and requires a valid email address upon registration
The NJM Direct service will accept only VISA or MasterCard (or any card that contains the VISA or MasterCard logo) when making a payment online and the user will be charged a convenience fee for using one of the above credit cards. Please note the NJM Direct online service can be used to make a payment during the following times only: Mon – Thurs 7:30AM – 11:45PM (EST) OR Fri 7:30AM – 10:45PM (EST) OR Sat 7:30AM – 3:45PM (EST) OR Sun 1:00PM – 11:45PM (EST). Users attempting to pay down a traffic ticket outside the hours previously shown will be denied. To find a traffic ticket or Time Payment Order online simply enter the Court ID, Ticket Prefix (if applicable), Ticket Number and License Plate Number. Please allow up to 4 days to pay the ticket online from the date it was issued. Once the payment has been made the user will receive a receipt showing that they paid the ticket using the NJM Direct service (be sure to PRINT and SAVE this receipt). Those offenders who would like to argue the ticket should not use the NJM Direct service and elect to speak with a judge in court.
Convenience fee when paying with a credit card at NJM Direct?
- if the ticket is between $1.00 – $40.00 then a $1.00 fee is incurred
- $41.00 – $87.00 = $2.00
- $88.00 – $200.00 = $3.00
- >$200.00 = $4.00
Please note in order to use the NJM Direct online payment service the ticket must be a payable violation, a court appearance is not REQUIRED by the offender, the offender does not have any outstanding warrants, and the ticket may be on a Time Payment Order.
