Millennium Settlement
- Obtain more information in regards to the class action lawsuit entitled Retta, et al. v. Millennium Products Inc., et al.,
- The lawsuit is listed as caee number 2:15-cv-01801-PSG-AJW
- Millennium Products Inc. and Whole Foods Market Inc deny all actions of wrong doing but have agreed to settle
Millennium Settlement class members contend that they were mislead in regards to the alcohol, sugar, and antioxidant content of certain GT’s kombucha products by Millennium Products Inc. and Whole Foods Market Inc.. The lawsuit is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the deadline to file a claim is listed as 5/30/2017 (those class members who fail to file a claim will loose all settlement benefits associated with the lawsuit). Millennium Settlement class members will be represented by L. Timothy Fisher and Yeremey Krivoshey. The defendants will be represented by Scott M. Voelzm, Daniel J. Faria (Millennium) and James M. Lee, Joe H. Tuffaha, David Cran (whole foods). Class members who submit a claim with purchase will receive up to $60 from the kombucha settlement while those who submit a claim without proof of purchase will receive up to $35.
Millennium Settlement Notes
- The fairness hearing will take place on 7/31/2017
- Class members will have to travel on their on dime if they wish to attend the hearing
- Class members are NOT required to attend the hearing in order to receive a slice of the settlement pie
Class members in the Millennium Settlement case are defined as anyone whom purchased one or more of the following kombucha products between March 11, 2011 and Feb. 27, 2017:
- Classic Kombucha: Original, Citrus Gingerade, Multi-Green, Third Eye Chai
- Classic Synergy: Cosmic Cranberry, Maqui Berry Mint, Divine Grape, Gingerberry Raspberry Rush, Strawberry Serenity, Superfruits, Trilogy
- Enlightened Kombucha: Botanic No. 3, Botanic No. 7, Botanic No. 9, Citrus, Gingerade, Multi-Green, Original
- Enlightened Synergy: Black Chia, Cosmic Cranberry, Cherry Chia, Gingerberry, Grape Chia, Green Chia, Guava Goddess, Mystic Mango, Passionberry Bliss, Raspberry Chia, Strawberry Serenity, Trilogy
